We are thrilled to announce the launch of the 2025/26 Never Such Innocence International Competition – and this year, we’re inviting young people aged 9-18 around the world to go on a journey:
This year’s theme challenges participants to explore empathy, identity, and experience through their original creative work. Whether imagining life from another person’s point of view or reflecting on real-world stories of war and conflict.
Young people are invited to share their thoughts and reflections on the theme in three categories:
Art
Poetry
Songwriting
Each year, we are moved by the creativity, honesty, and courage that young people bring to their work. This is their platform to explore and express how conflict – past or present – affects them and the world around them.

Who Can Enter?: Young people aged 9-18 from anywhere in the world
Prizes: Winners will have their work published and showcased internationally and receive an NSI prize pack, as well as other special opportunities
Certificates: All participants will receive a personalised certificate of commendation
