PURANAVA – QUIZ
Date: 6th August 2022
Venue – Bharathiya Vidhya Bhavan
– 3 members in a team
– Maximum of 5 teams per school
– Students are requested to assemble at 9 am
– Questions will be based on Indian Heritage, Art, Culture, Tradition and Sanathana Dharma
– A written prelims will be conducted, from which 6 teams will be selected for the on-stage finals.

Theme : HISTORIC EVENTS FROM OUR PURANAS
Classes : 1st and 2nd Standard
• Drawing sheets will be provided.
• Participants can use any type of colouring medium.
• Please bring your own colouring materials.
• Tracing or sticking not allowed.
PAINTING : (11AM – 12 PM)
Theme : INDIAN FREEDOM STRUGGLE
Classes : 3rd to 5th Standard
• Drawing sheets will be provided.
• Participants can use any type of colouring medium.
• Please bring your own colouring materials.
• Tracing or sticking not allowed.
POSTAL STAMP DESIGNING : (1PM – 2PM)
Theme : GREAT INDIAN SAINTS
Classes : 6th to 8th Standard
• Drawing sheets will be provided.
• Participants can use any type of colouring medium.
• Please bring your own colouring materials.
• Tracing or sticking not allowed.
• The final illustration should look like an Indian Postage Stamp dedicated to Great Indian Saints.
T SHIRT PAINTING: (3PM – 4PM)
Theme : MAGNIFICENT DYNASTIES (Cheras, Cholas, Pandyas, Marathas, Guptas, Rajputs, Mauryas)
Classes : 9th to 12th Standard
• T shirts should be brought by the participants and will not be provided.
• Participants can use any type of colouring medium.
• Please bring your own colouring materials.
• Tracing or sticking not allowed.
• The theme for t shirt painting should be selected from the given list of dynasties only – Cheras,Cholas, Pandyas, Marathas, Guptas, Rajputs, Mauryas
ELOCUTION : (10 AM ONWARDS)
Theme : SHOULD INDIAN HISTORY BE REWRITTEN?
Classes : 9th to 12th Standard
• Students are allowed to talk in English or Tamil – The two languages will be judged separately.
Kindly mention the medium of speech while registering.
• Students will be given 5 minutes to talk. If judges decide to have a Round 2 for select
participants, they will be given 5 additional minutes, to deliver content in addition to what they spoke in Round 1.
General Instructions
• Students are requested to – report 30 minutes before commencement of the event. – come in uniform.
• Parking will not be provided at the venue.
• Accompanying parents and teachers, can wait till the event is over.
• Prizes will be distributed after the end of each event.
