Format & Project
The competition is divided into three groups:
Junior Group (Grade 1 to 4)
Theme 1: Game Building
Project: Build a game that helps you learn basic concepts like pattern recognition, sequence, memory, counting, and much more. You will have come up with an original game idea and then bring it to life using your coding skills.
Theme 2: Animation
Project: Think and create an original animation of your own and give it a name. Then, show a conversation between you and the animation regarding the symptoms, impact, safety measures, and precautions to stay safe from the coronavirus.
Middle Group (Grade 5 to 8)
Theme 1: Make Music
Project: Build an app or a game that plays music/sound. You can create a list of characters and add sound/music to them. The app or game should play the relevant sound of an instrument, animal, vehicle, or any character.
Theme 2: Natural Phenomena
Project: Build an app or website with useful information about natural phenomena and the science behind them. For example, an earthquake is a natural phenomenon.
Senior Group (Grade 9 to 12)
Theme 1: Interactive Periodic Table
Project: Build an interactive, touch-activated periodic table app or website. The app should allow you to browse from all the different elements that make up the table and tap each one for more information. It should also include useful information about the various elemental properties and categorize them by color.
Theme 2: Fitness Tracker
Project: Build an innovative app that can track your runs, hikes, walks, or just about any physical activity in real-time. You can set fitness goals or just let the app nudge you to get more active if you have been sitting around for a long time.
