Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA), under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Govt. of India conducts various literary and cultural events for school students. The Essay writing, Painting, and Quiz competitions aim to raise awareness among youth about practical conservation tips for the conservation of Petroleum products in industrial, transport, agriculture and domestic sector.
Entries can be submitted by schools for PCRA Saksham National Essay Competition 2019.
Only those schools in India which are recognized by Central & State Boards, can participate. It is mandatory for the Schools to conduct the competition in school premises in a fair manner.
Schools can conduct Essay competitions in one or more of the following languages- Hindi, English, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Maithili, Dogri, Nepali, Bodo and Santhali.
Eligibility: Students of classes 7, 8, 9 & 10.
One student can participate in only one language.
Essay should not exceed 700 words.
Student must submit essay in his/her own handwriting.
Topic : Oil Conservation towards healthy and better environment
Time Limit: 1 Hour
Schools are required to evaluate the entries, and upload Best two entries in each language, in which the competition has been conducted at the school, on www.pcracompetitions.org . For further details, please refer to this portal.

The final results shall be announced in December 2019. The awards will be distributed during the Saksham month period 16.01.20 to 15.02.20.
