A brief note about the proposed new Guinness Record on Lowest & Longest Limbo skating.
The adjudicating judge have to witness the event and to certify that the lowest & longest limbo skating has been performed as per the specification given by Guinness.
The proposed event is scheduled to take place at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium at Chennai. Tentative date for the proposed event is 21st February 2015 (Saturday) between 7AM to 8AM. It has been advised to finish off the event as quick as possible in the morning to avoid any disturbance due to wind factor.
To give you a small brief about Master Medvin Deva, he is already an Guinness Record holder for the lowest limbo skating records. Now he is attempting to break the existing Guinness Record on the longest and lowest Limbo skating.
Please find below the information on the existing record which Master Medvin Deva is proposed to break.
Existing Record:
The longest limbo skating is 55 m (180 ft 5.35 in) and was achieved by Li Mingfen(China) in Beidaihe District, Qinhuangdao City, China, on 7 May 2010. Li Mingfen is 12 years old. She skated on rollerskates under 56 poles, which are 29 cm (11.42 in ) tall from the ground. The poles were 1 m (3 ft 3.37 in) apart. The lowest pole was 28 cm (11.02 in) tall from the ground.
