The Hindu Young World Painting Competition 2014 invites entries from children from Classes IV to X.

For Seniors: Classes VII to X:
1. Watching a painting competition
2. A green drive: Planting trees, segregating waste, cleaning the beach
3. Sunday Mornings at home
Rules: Draw the Painting on a white drawing sheet (size 26 cm x 27 cm) choosing any one of the topics given, get it certified by your Principal or Art Teacher as your won art work.
Write your name, age, class, school, residential address at the back of painting and send to the address near to you from the following.
Selected students will be intimated individually and they should come to the venue of the finals to be held on February 22 and 23rd, 2014 at 4 different locations at their won cost for the finals.
For Kochi, Kozhikkode and Cimbatore finals will be held on February 22, 2014.
Finals will be held on February 23, 2014.
Topics for the finals will be given at the venue only.
Prizes will be distributed after the competition at the venue itself. There will be 1st, 2nd, 3rd and consolation prizes. Other finalists will be given participation certificates.

I like your way of encouraging the kids for painting competitions at major cities,now a days many children are showing very much interest in the field of drawing and painting,in this regard if you please arrange collecting centers at district head quarters,and some more training centers the children are pleased very much.Along with providing the facilities of learning the arts if they are directed towards the roots of earning methods,many children are benefited, because after having learned for some extent children are found leaving it in the middle, as our India is being a cultural heritage we are supposed to keep it up.In this regard the job that you are doing is really cannot be valued at any level.with this I remain thank you very much.

Please can you you inform me if a girl named mahathi.n who participated in the first level in the juniors group is selected for the finals as both me and her father work I don’t think we will get the courier on time. That was what happened last year
The topics are interesting, especially for the Seniors group. I shall really enjoy taking part, though I don’t know if I can make it to the second round!!!
